Merseyside based Cater-Bake UK has underlined its plans for expansion with the appointment of a business development manager to exclusively cover the south of England and Wales.
Phillip Armstrong, who has worked out of Cater-Bake’s northern office for the last two years, will now turn his attentions to the southern part of the country as the firm looks to grow its national coverage.
Cater-Bake said the appointment coincided with the advent of its new financial year.
Mark Hutchings, managing director of Cater-Bake UK, said: “This is a very positive move for us. We have a very strong trading base in the north of England, where we’re based, but our business in the southern half of the UK is inconsistent in comparison. I know we can improve our business in this area, so it‘s a logical move to dedicate a team member to increase and develop our relationships with the southern equipment dealers and customers.”
Cater-Bake UK specialises in the distribution of ovens and machines for the bakery and pizza trade and serves as the UK agent for the Zanolli brand of Italian ovens.
Taking up his new role, Armstrong said: “We’ve got a great catalogue of products that we have a lot of faith in. The aim is to ensure that we have the correct exposure to the right customers. Now that I’ve been given the responsibility of this area, I’m looking forward to getting out there and increasing our client base and sales in the south.”
