Electrolux Professional has rejigged its internal structure by realigning the responsibilities and goals of a number of senior sales and marketing staff.
The move to create a series of ‘category specialists’ in each major product area is designed to ensure it can provide bespoke support to its customer base.
Each category manager will support the organisation’s area sales management team, which will remain the primary point of contact for distributor partners and their customers.
“It is important that we can offer our customers both an unrivalled range of products and an experienced expert across each of our foodservice categories,” said Darren Lockley, Electrolux’s head of region for the UK and Ireland.
“For this reason, we have decided to realign the duties and objectives of a number of our more experienced sales and marketing representatives.”
Under the new set-up, Simon Lilley takes up the role of regional category manager — horizontal cooking. Tasked with building the profile of the manufacturer’s thermaline kitchen solution range following its introduction last year, Lilley is now also responsible for increasing the penetration of its XP modular cooking portfolio.
Steve Bowler has been appointed regional category manager for warewashing. Having developed a broad knowledge across a wide range of products in his role as design and product manager, Bowler will be responsible for developing Electrolux’s offering in the warewashing arena.
Elsewhere, Sneha Mashru has been named regional category manager for refrigeration. With experience in the refrigeration industry, Sneha will be responsible for increasing awareness and sales of Electrolux’s refrigeration product range.
Finally, Stuart Flint has been appointed regional training and demonstration manager — foodservice.
The new position will see Flint continue to oversee internal training at the company’s Luton HQ and Innovation Centre while also being challenged to raise the profile of Electrolux’s external training, events and demonstration capabilities.
He’ll also have the added responsibility of regional category manager — cook and chill.
“As a dynamic business operating in a fast-paced industry, we are keen to take every opportunity to strengthen our foodservice division and ultimately enhance the customer experience for our existing partners,” continued Lockley. “Our network of regional category managers coupled with our dedicated Innovation Centre means we are well-positioned to offer industry-leading support for a variety of requirements.”
