Gelato and ice cream equipment manufacturer Carpigiani UK has signalled a new focus on dealers after revamping its strategy in a move that will see its ‘plug and play’ range of machines sold through the UK channel.
The company recently hired Katie Roberts as dealer business development manager and she is tasked with building relationships with distributors and implementing a new indirect sales policy that Carpigiani has created.
Paul Ingram, managing director at Carpigiani UK, said: “Katie is going to be driving our dealer relationships. We are really delighted to bring her into the team and leverage her existing knowledge of building excellent dealer relationships.
“We have just put in place a new strategy for dealers which is essentially our ‘plug & play’ range of machines, backed up by our installation team and supported by our development chef Joe Yates who runs training and menu development sessions for new and existing customers. Our dealer strategy will give Katie a great range of equipment to focus on and take Carpigiani into new business areas.”
Already part of the Ice-O-Matic Dealer team, Roberts said she is delighted about taking on the Carpigiani ‘plug & play’ range as well.
