Carpigiani whips up new dealer policy to propel indirect sales partnerships

Carpigiani

Gelato and ice cream equipment manufacturer Carpigiani UK has signalled a new focus on dealers after revamping its strategy in a move that will see its ‘plug and play’ range of machines sold through the UK channel.

The company recently hired Katie Roberts as dealer business development manager and she is tasked with building relationships with distributors and implementing a new indirect sales policy that Carpigiani has created.

Prior to joining Carpigiani, Roberts spent two years at Foster and Gamko, and also worked with Sugar & Lime, Churchill China and Bunzl Continental Chef Supplies.

Paul Ingram, managing director at Carpigiani UK, said: “Katie is going to be driving our dealer relationships. We are really delighted to bring her into the team and leverage her existing knowledge of building excellent dealer relationships.

“We have just put in place a new strategy for dealers which is essentially our ‘plug & play’ range of machines, backed up by our installation team and supported by our development chef Joe Yates who runs training and menu development sessions for new and existing customers. Our dealer strategy will give Katie a great range of equipment to focus on and take Carpigiani into new business areas.”

Already part of the Ice-O-Matic Dealer team, Roberts said she is delighted about taking on the Carpigiani ‘plug & play’ range as well.

“The equipment and customer support that Carpigiani offers makes the company leaders in the artisan gelato, ice cream and pastry field. I’m really keen to start working with the Carpigiani ‘plug & play’ range and learning more about the gelato industry.

“Carpigiani has always been known as a company that has absolutely outstanding customer training and support, which makes business development almost effortless and I’m excited to be working with such a well respected team.”
