A special ‘Carry On’ calendar created by Carford Group to support the children of an employee who died suddenly has raised almost £3,500.
The Dorset-based distributor developed the calendar as a tribute to Mark Scriven, a 38-year-old field service engineer who sadly passed away without warning of a rare disorder known as Cardiovascular Arrhythmic death.
A number of catering equipment suppliers supported the calendar, which features many of Mark’s colleagues dressed up in a comical fashion.
The money raised from the initiative has now been presented to Mark’s wife Wendy and will be put in a trust fund. It will help their two young children and go towards expenses such as further education and driving lessons.
Nick Oryino, managing director of Carford, said: “We hope that this contribution to the fund will go some small way to help Mark’s children into adult life. They are both a credit to Mark’s memory. I would like to thank everyone who purchased and contributed towards the calendar.”
Carford thanked a number of manufacturers that supported the calendar, including Angelo Po, Counterline, Falcon, First Capital Finance, Instanta, Interlevin, Maidaid Halycon, Mechline, Meiko, Rational, Wedgwood and Williams.
