The Carford Group has confirmed the recent completion of a £500,000 kitchen and servery fit-out at the Haskins West End Restaurant in Southampton.
A number of key equipment brands were used during the fit-out, which formed part of a wider £2.3m refurbishment project at the restaurant development.
Italian manufacturer Angelo Po was chosen for the main cooking equipment and refrigeration, Meiko supplied a flight dishwasher and Jestic provided the built-in stone pizza oven. Counterline, meanwhile, manufactured all of the bespoke counters.
The project was overseen by Carford project sales managers Neil Crocombe and David Jackson, who spent a year with the client putting together designs and equipment specifications.
As well as the kitchen facility, Carford worked to ensure the servery areas not only met demand and service levels during peak times, but also had a practical yet modern feel.
Carl Hadfield, group catering manager for Haskins, said: “The Carford Group has played a major role in the restaurant re-development from design through to completion and their input, support and advice has been invaluable. Having used Carford previously, we continue to be impressed by the level of service and commitment from the Carford team and look forward to working with them again on our forthcoming Roundstone development.”
Carford previously worked with Haskins on a restaurant extension at its sister garden centre in Dorset back in 2008, helping the venue to virtually double its annual catering turnover to £2m per annum.
