Catering equipment supplier Exclusive Ranges has introduced the Capic Plancha Plasma to its portfolio.
The Plasma is said to represent a new generation of heating solutions with Capic’s new PMD cooking technology. Designed to be efficient, the Plasma is claimed to rival induction and traditional electric elements, offering accurate temperature setting and the ability to maintain cooking temperature providing up to 67% power savings.
Capic’s patented new heating element is designed to provide controllable, rapid heat, reaching 200°C in less than 6 minutes with the ability for users to control the temperature accuracy to within one degree.
The Plancha Plasma has four independent thermostatically controlled heating zones with adjustable temperatures of between 50°C-250°C per zone, said to reduce energy wastage and overall power consumption.
The unit is designed to offer fast cleaning both during and post-service and should be economical to run. With claimed lower energy consumption than the continuous heat of a traditional electric element, the plancha could reduce energy costs and lower maintenance bills.
Trevor Burke, MD and founder for Exclusive Ranges, commented: “The Capic Plancha Plasma represents the latest in heating solutions, which offers operators great value and quality, cutting edge technology and the lowest maintenance and energy costs available.
“With the recent introduction of Capic into our portfolio, we have seen first-hand the environmental benefits that have resulted from the significant investment in the factory in Brittany, which has collected numerous awards for its energy efficiency and excellent working environment.
“Producing cooking equipment for the whole catering industry – from fast food restaurants and cost sector kitchens to Michelin-starred establishments – as well as for food manufacturers, all operators can benefit from the energy efficiency functions available across the Capic product range.”
