Cambro has introduced the Camshelving GN 1/1 Food Pan Trolley, constructed from composite material.
Claimed to be stable and stronger than steel, but without the commonly failing weld points, rust and corrosion, the new composite trolley is said to perform consistently in the most demanding kitchens.
The composite material should be able to resist scratching and bending, as well as absorb strenuous kitchen use. Therefore the trollies should be scratch, shock, stain and chemical resistant.
Metal trolleys that have sustained damage and look worse for wear are a common site in many kitchens. Composite is designed to me a more durable material that will look its best for life.
The material is said to be capable of a weight bearing of 45kg per rail, or 340kg in total. The rails will also accept pans from an oven at 200˚C.
Luke Carman, UK and Ireland sales manager for Cambro, said: “Strength, reliability, aesthetics, the new trollies tick the boxes of a multitude of design needs.
“Plus, they are more sustainable, we can help keep metal out of the landfill sites. We expect them to be popular across all sectors of the foodservice market, back and front of house.”
The GN 1/1 trollies have a capacity of 18 x 1/1GN.
