BW Fabrication changes hands following buy-out

Bristol-based catering extraction and ventilation specialist BW Fabrication has changed hands following a transition period.

The handover from former owner Steve Bruce-Jones to new MD and owner Roger Burns is now complete, with Burns taking the lead from here on.

The deal was agreed at the start of the year and Bruce-Jones, who had been with the company for 30 years, has since continued to provide consultancy support, to ensure a seamless handover.

Now, with Burns fully at the helm, the company has announced Bruce-Jones’ departure and retirement.

Burns said: “Having completed a degree and early experience in Building Services Engineering, I developed a career in Logistics working on operations and projects all over the world with DHL Supply Chain.

“There is excellent scope for growth in a number of market sectors for BWF. We are already seeing some initial success with new marketing initiatives and I believe we have a strong existing management team that will enable us to fulfil this potential.”

BWF was founded in 1989 and has built an enviable reputation as a regional industry leader in bespoke catering extraction and ventilation systems, both to major catering specifiers and, directly, to countless regional restaurants, schools and corporations. Clients include Tesco, Nationwide Building Society, River Cottage, the BBC and IBM.
