High Wycombe-based catering equipment dealer, Smashing Supplies, has filed for insolvency.
A notice posted on the London Gazette website detailed: “Notice is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed on 24 July 2020 as a special resolution and an ordinary resolution respectively:
“That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Paul Ellison and David Taylor both of KRE Corporate Recovery in Reading, be appointed as joint liquidators for the purposes of such voluntary winding up.”
Smashing Supplies was founded by Deborah Pawelczyk (nee Mash, hence the company moniker) and her husband Jan Pawelczyk in 2002.
The dealer’s website is still currently operational and states that the company supplies catering products to the hospitality industry, both locally and nationally. Product categories included glassware, crockery, cutlery, barware, cleaning products and heavy catering equipment.
The business worked with major brands such as Arc, Churchill, Steelite, Grunwerg, Lincat, Parry, Maidaid, Pentland, Foster, Artis, Nevilles, DPS Tableware, Tablecraft and Utopia.
Catering Insight reached out to Deborah Pawelczyk but she did not wish to comment at this time as to why the company is being wound up.
