Water filtration specialist, Brita Professional, has promoted Steve Buckmaster to the sales director position following the departure of Glenn Roberts.
Buckmaster has been an essential part of the Brita team since 2002 as business account manager, leading on the development of sector plans while coordinating with CEDA.
Brita believes that his hard work and passion for the company has led to a 25% increase in sales in the catering sector in the last 5 years, a work ethic he plans to take forward to his new role.
Prior to joining the water filter manufacturer, he worked in a range of roles in the foodservice sector including roles at Aramark and Häagen-Dazs. Throughout his career, Buckmaster has gained in-depth knowledge in all business sectors that Brita caters for – including coffee, vending and catering.
Brita feels this has provided him with a detailed understanding of the operational and commercial needs of equipment manufacturers, distributors and end users.
Buckmaster said: “I am thrilled to be the new sales director for Brita Professional – a role that I know will be exciting and challenging. It is an enormously exciting time for the company and I am looking forward to building on Brita’s success in the foodservice industry.”
Sarah Taylor, MD of Brita UK, added: “Steve has been an integral member of the team for many years. The impact he has had within Brita has seen increases in sales and helped firmly position us as leaders within the market. That’s why we are confident he will excel as our new sales director and we can’t wait to see him driving our business strategy forward.”
