Steve Witt, MD of Middleby Group companies IMC and Britannia, is to step down from both roles at the end of September.

He was subsequently appointed MD of IMC in 2013 and, after reviving the fortunes of the Wrexham-based manufacturer of backbar refrigeration and waste management systems, and assumed the same role with Britannia Kitchen Ventilation in 2016.

Witt said: “After 17 fantastic years it is time to move on to new challenges. I have enjoyed my time at IMC and Britannia immensely and would like to thank the current management team who I am sure will continue to drive the business forward.

“I have been exceptionally lucky to manage such a great team and to work with some truly passionate people. It would also be remiss of me not to thank the previous MD of IMC, along with Middleby Corporation, for the opportunities afforded me.

“I would also like to thank CESA, as well as friends and colleagues from throughout the catering equipment industry, for all the support I have received from them over the past 17 years.”

It is not known as of yet where Witt will be moving to. An announcement on his successor will be made by Middleby Corporation in due course.
