CaterQuotes has appointed Rob Gibson as MD of the Birmingham-based software company.
With full responsibility for the leadership and sales development of CaterQuotes, Gibson will lead the CQ team to meet the company’s strategic goals to achieve continued growth for the business.
The appointment of a CQ MD follows a record-breaking period of growth for the quotation and design software provider. The a sales and marketing veteran, who starts his role on 10 June, will now aim to shape new strategies and processes to enhance the customer service and support functions of CaterQuotes as it expands its product portfolio.
Gibson said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining CaterQuotes at such an exciting time – we are welcoming new publishers and subscribers, unveiling new features and plug-ins and I’m looking forward to taking the business even further in coming years.
“I will be taking over two decades of experience in the foodservice industry and applying this knowledge to work closely with the CQ team and AutoQuotes to further cement CQ’s place as the UK’s leading provider of technology software and solutions for this market.”
Before accepting this role, Gibson operated his own business, Kitchen and Restaurant Projects which supplied products such as the Thermadyne cook and hot holding cabinets, Atolspeed high speed ovens and the Helia Smoker to the UK market.
Prior to that, he held sales leadership roles at Lincat and Falcon Foodservice Equipment where he achieved a number of sales milestones.

In the coming months, CQ is set to release a new mobile application, a design application for Revit, and an enhanced inventory management capability, and a reporting and analytics tool for publishing vendors.
