Mark Kendall has become buying consortium Cedabond’s new commercial director. He joins after an 18-year stint as director at Milton Keynes-based distributor Inox Equip and was latterly CEDA chairman.
He will be responsible for liaising with Cedabond’s membership, both current and new, as well as the supply chain. He will also be looking at the strategic growth of the buying group going forward.
Phil Martin, CEO/chairman of Cedabond, said: “The key to Cedabond’s success over the past few years has been its ability to evolve and adapt to the rapidly changing marketplace, a process that will continue when its new financial reporting software comes online in the New Year.
“Cedabond now has the infrastructure in place that will not only enable it to continue growing but also allow it improve its proposition to members and suppliers still further. Having the right personnel in place is a key part of our growth plan and we are very fortunate to have Mark join us at this time. A past CEDA chairman, and a highly respected and experienced figure within the industry, he brings with him extensive and highly detailed knowledge of the issues facing Cedabond members and suppliers.”
Kendall added: “This is a great opportunity for me. Going from my previous role at a distributor to working for one of the industry’s most respected buying consortiums within the catering equipment industry is a real step change, and one that I relish.
“I am looking forward to working with the Cedabond team, helping the consortium to grow and continuing the excellent work that it does with members and suppliers alike.”
