Linda Lewis of the eponymous Linda Lewis Kitchens (LLK) has decided to take a step back from the company after 26 years in the catering equipment industry and 15 years as LLK’s MD.
Linda will be handing the baton to her daughter, Jenna Lewis, who returned to her role of commercial director following her maternity leave at the start of this year.
Jenna’s role will involve focusing on business development as well as setting up LLK’s new export department. Jenna and her fiancé Will Pilling, technical director at LLK, hold 10% share in the business.
Jenna will be assisted in the day to day running of the business by Joseph Solomon, LLK’s financial director and Natalie White, LLK’s operations manager, who also own shares in LLK and have worked in the business for more than 12 years.
As the major shareholder, Linda will remain on LLK’s board, attend monthly meetings and mentor Jenna when needed but will overall have a much more silent role.
Linda said: “I have had a fabulous time in the catering equipment industry but, following the loss of my father in February 2018, I have decided it is time to pursue new paths.
“LLK is a vibrant, successful business that I am extremely proud of. It has a fantastic team and Jenna is the perfect person to take over the running of the business. I would like to thank everyone in the industry for their support and guidance over the years and thank in advance for your continued support.”
Jenna commented: “I am so excited to continue the amazing work my mother put into LLK. I invested money into the business when I was 18 years old but decided to pursue a career in visual merchandise management for 6 years where I undertook a rigorous management training programme covering staffing, business development and commercial awareness.
“This experience prepared me well for when I joined team LLK in 2016 as commercial director. I am really looking forward to the future of LLK and our next step of exporting.”
