Chris Jones, group MD of Lincat, IMC and Britannia, embarked on a new role yesterday as he also took charge of the commercial foodservice arm of Middleby UK.
As the newly-promoted UK group MD of Middleby Commercial Foodservice, Jones will oversee all of the company’s brands, with Middleby UK MD Kenny Smith now reporting into him.
Jones commented: “It’s been a fantastic year at the helm of Lincat, FriFri, IMC and Britannia, the four brands are now successfully working together under one leadership team. As a result customers now have access to a wider portfolio of products and services.
“A key part of the plan moving forward is to develop a stronger synergy across the Middleby brands enabling us to offer a more accessible one-stop solution so we can together meet all kitchen and back bar needs.
“I am excited that by bringing together the brands and expertise of the teams, we will be able to approach our customers with good, better, best products, expand into new markets, and increase market share. I’m looking forward to taking Middleby UK to the next level.”
Najib Maalouf, European MD of the Middleby Corporation, Lincat and IMC’s parent company, commented: “As Middleby continues to acquire companies and add exciting solutions to its portfolio, we’re determined to make it easy to do business with Middleby. We wish to simplify our customers’ experience with us and let our people seamlessly and efficiently bring the best solutions.
“Under Chris Jones, Lincat, FriFri, IMC and Britannia have made great strides evidenced by the impressive innovation they recently brought. They’re working well together; as such, I am pleased to see this team culture extended to Middleby UK and look forward to translating the unified approach as a win to our customers.”
