Catering equipment wholesaler Blue Badger is making a play for the blast chiller market by launching the Sterling Pro SP-101E model.
Made in Europe, the unit offers everything needed to chill and freeze freshly-cooked food in the same cabinet.
Hampshire-based Blue Badger says the cabinets are stainless steel inside and out, and are capable of reducing bacteria production in food, prolonging its shelf life. Interior joints are curved for easy cleaning.
The SP-101E has a chill capacity of 30kg and freeze capacity of 20kg, while the chill cycle time is 90 minutes and freeze cycle time 240 minutes. The GN 1/1shelves are spaced at 65mm for ample storage, and the self-closing doors will lock open at 100 degrees.
With automatic defrost, easy operation and a two-year parts warranty, the SP-101E provides a solid addition to the kitchen in a footprint that measures 1420mm (h) x 790mm (w) x 800mm (d).
