German manufacturer the Blanco Professional Group achieved a consolidated turnover of €119.8m in fiscal year 2016. This corresponds to growth of 3.6% compared to the previous year.
The Oberderdingen-headquartered firm believes the latest figures create a good basis for future growth.
Catering equipment is one of four main divisions within the corporate group, which currently has 682 employees. The other three departments are industrial, medical and railway.
The catering division has been focusing on its BlancoCook offerings and is developing interlinking equipment, both for online and offline.
The company’s primary focuses are to a target group-oriented product portfolio and create more efficient processes. In both fields – efficiency enhancement and target group orientation – the four business units are said to have made good progress in 2016.
Roland Spleiss, chairman of the board of management, is also pursuing a comprehensive internationalisation strategy on the basis of limited growth potential in the European market, though the firm underlined it will remain present in Europe.
Spleiss is optimistic about the future: “We are faced with a twofold challenge: on the one hand, we are carrying out a profound cultural change; on the other hand, we are re-orientating our business model at the same time. We are doing this systematically and our successes give us courage for the path ahead.”
The Oberderdingen location has also been strengthened in the long term with investment in the manufacturing facilities there, with further investments to come.
