The University of Birmingham is arranging a tender to find a service provider that can take care of the catering equipment that it manages.
The university says it has a requirement for a repair and preventative maintenance service for kitchen equipment within catering areas on the main university campus, at catered student residences and at its Conference Park.
There may also be an occasional requirement for the service to be provided for domestic appliances within office areas.
Birmingham University currently spends £30,000 a year on catering equipment maintenance and says the contract it is looking to put in place will be renewable up to a maximum term of 10 years, subject to annual review.
Interested parties must have CHAS Registration or an equivalent standard, be Gas Safe registered and be IEEE trained.
The university expects to invite a minimum of five services providers to tender once it has assessed all those which have expressed an interest to participate before the deadline of 19 November.
