BGL Rieber hires new apprentice

Food transportation and bulk cooking specialist BGL Rieber has employed Liam Harris as an apprentice.

Based at BGL HQ in Melksham, Harris will help manage “the expansion of our distributor-led products,” said MD Gareth Newton.

“Demand continues to be strong – we’ve just moved offices to provide more storage and work space to help us cope with orders. Investing in new staff and their development is vital to maintain a high standard of customer support.

“Whether it is for Thermoport food transport boxes, K-Pot electric chafers or Varithek front cooking self-ventilating induction units, every quote is different because we sell solutions, not just boxes.”

Harris commented: “I am delighted to have joined BGL Rieber. Apprenticeship is a great opportunity to build a career and this is an excellent company with a varied and interesting range of products.

“I am excited about the future and am looking forward to being a valued point of contact for our customers.”

Newton continued: “Liam is assisting the sales team and is also managing our new Twitter account with the assistance, in one case, of Pooh Bear.” This refers to a picture that Harris entered for World Photography Day 2015 showing a Pooh Bear teddy dining off the new Rieber Thermoport 21 insulated food transport tray.

“One thing is for sure, whatever Liam tweets; no-one is going to pooh-pooh what he says!” quipped Newton.
