The Beverage Standards Association (BSA) has announced that it will hold a conference next year to address key topics shaping the coffee making industry, including the role of equipment.
The conference will be held in early 2013 at Campton BRI, the R&D company for food and drink at Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.
Topics will include making a great espresso, engineering espresso machinery and how to achieve the BSA Five Cup standard for coffee and latte art.
Martyn Herriott, who has just been elected as executive director of the BSA for another year, made the announcement at the Association’s AGM, which was attended by more than 30 BSA members.
The launch of the conference comes after the BSA confirmed that it recently signed its 100th member.
“[It’s a] great achievement,” he said “Our target for this year is 125 members which is feasible as we welcomed 23 new members last year.”
