Ali Group cooking equipment brand Baron has increased its prices by 3%, with the rise implemented from the beginning of this month.
However, the brand’s UK supplier, Universal Foodservice Equipment, is aiming to mitigate the impact for its dealers as much as possible.
Universal’s MD Roger Flanagan reported: “We at Universal have no alternative but to pass this on to our customers in the UK.
“However we are aware that many of our distributors have outstanding project quotations due to come to fruition in the coming months, and we have decided to hold existing quotations firm for orders received in the coming months up to the end of June 2020 and for delivery this year.”
Nevertheless, all new quotations from now on will carry the 3% increase.
This price increase applies to all cooking items but does not include refrigeration, blast chillers, dishwashers, combination and convection ovens and fabricated items.
Universal also warned that should the Pound significantly against the Euro, it may have to issue currency surcharges.
Baron now has a stockholding in Italy which can deliver appliances approximately 1 week from purchase, for orders placed through Universal.
