Ali Group cooking equipment brand Baron has recently completed its first training programme for UK engineers at the new, purpose made facility in its factory at Belluno, Italy.

Engineers chosen to represent and support Baron’s new ranges of combination ovens and programmable bratt pans, in various parts of the UK, were reported to be “delighted” with the new training unit, which provided all technical and cooking demonstration equipment in one place.

Ken Ford, UK technical manager for Universal (Baron’s UK partner), who led the programme, commented: “This new operation is a real step forward in our training capability and all who took part were thoroughly impressed.

“It is our ambition to become one of the market leaders in service and spares support and this event is only the start of a major training operation for UK engineers.”

The training sessions included full testing and technical assessment as well as parts identification and troubleshooting.

Participants left with all necessary diagnostic information so that all technical problems can be addressed.

Roger Flanagan, Universal MD, added: “This new training facility and Baron’s willingness to ensure the UK has all the tools it needs to remain a force in the market, will be a great help for our engineers and ourselves going forward.”
