Barnsley Refrigeration has landed a kitchen services contract with the University of Sheffield worth £55,000 a year.
The company won a tender involving 12 companies to secure the work, which involves the repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment at various university buildings.
The refrigeration contract was one element of a two-part contract for catering equipment and refrigeration maintenance worth £165,000.
According to the tender document, a provider was chosen based on six key criteria including price, service plan and response time, and staff qualifications.
It is not clear who picked up the catering equipment maintenance contract, but the Foster, Arneg and Lec installer gained the entire refrigeration piece.
The deal has the potential to run for up to five years.
Barnsley Refrigeration specialises in the design, installation, service and maintenance of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
It operates throughout Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
