Bank backs restaurant chain to the tune of £2m

Iberica Food & Culture is poised to open seven new sites over the next three years after agreeing a £2m funding package with Santander Corporate & Commercial.

While that package won’t stretch to meet those ambitions, it will fund the opening of its two newest restaurants: one in Farringdon, London and the other outside of London at a yet-to-be-announced location.

With three sites already, all of which are based in London, the company is eager to treble its store network by 2016.

No Iberica is the same, so each restaurant has been carefully designed and created to showcase a different and genuine Spanish experience.

Guests will experience a menu put together by Iberica’s executive head chef Nacho Manzano, who has three Michelin stars to his name, two from his celebrated restaurant Casa Marcial in Asturias, Spain.

Marcos Fernandez Pardo, managing director of Iberica Restaurants, said Iberica has had phenomenal success since it was first launched six years ago.

“Our mantra has been to serve great, authentic Spanish food at a reasonable price, all from an ever-revolving menu created by Nacho Manzano,” he said. “We are very excited about the next phase of our growth as we aim to reach 10 unique and authentically Spanish restaurants by the end of 2016.”
