B.Pro overhauls food transportation product family

The new B.Protherm product family comprises 23 stainless steel models.

B.Pro (ex-Blanco Professional) has evolved its mobile food transport container product family with the launch of the new B.Protherm line.

The latest series comprises 23 stainless steel models, and particular emphasis was placed on efficiency, futureproofing and sustainability.

Thanks to a connectivity function with optional IoT sensors, all B.Protherms can be integrated into the user’s digital workflow in a sustainable manner. Connectivity options include locally via WLAN connection or LTE technology. When using the QMspot app, the devices can also be conveniently controlled via smartphone or tablet.

In the versions with convection cooling, only the environmentally friendly and sustainable refrigerant propane R290 is used.

12 B.Protherm models with one compartment are designed for transport, storage and serving, as well as the practical undercounter models (heated by circulating air or neutral) for insertion under tables and counters.

11 of the B.Protherm models have two compartments and thus two temperature zones. They therefore should offer more flexibility for transport and temporary storage with the use of different temperature ranges in one device. There is a choice of models with a space-saving arrangement of the compartments stacked on top of each other (Combi models) or with both compartments next to each other for large quantities of food (Duo models). The two separately controllable compartments either have convection heating or are available as a combination convection heating/convection cooling or convection heating/neutral.

The convection cooling models will be available from January 2022, and from spring 2022, as neutral and/or with convection heating as a single compartment or duo and combination models and with new undercounter models. Duo and combi models with compartments that can be heated to different temperatures will follow in June 2022.

According to the different requirements in food transport, the B.Protherm family has both models for GN 1/1 and GN 2/1 banquet models for larger quantities and plate service.

All B.Protherms offer the user flexible use of the interior space for every GN depth: thanks to the even spacing of 38.3mm between beads, all common spacing dimensions (75mm, 115mm) are possible in one device. In this way, the unit can be equipped as space-saving and efficient as possible in a practical way, whether with GN 1/1 or GN 2/1. In the case of the convection-cooled models, the refrigeration compartment was designed in such a way that the beads in front of the refrigeration compartment can be used to create additional volume.

The units have a robust body made of stainless steel. The deep-drawn corrugated walls are made from one piece, without sharp edges and hidden dirt corners. They are therefore designed to offer the best conditions for easy cleaning and optimal hygiene. B.Protherm can be supplied in hygienic design H1 with tightly and seamlessly welded floors and walls.

The optional comfort door opening with foot control enables the B.Protherm to be opened with full hands and should offer an additional hygiene advantage. A new air flow concept should ensure quick and even distribution of heat and cold in the interior.

12 different body colours are also available for B.Protherms for individualisation and logistical allocation.
