Foodservice equipment quotation platform AutoQuotes has partnered with Currency, a California-based FinTech company, to enable equipment US dealers to streamline the payments process for their customers within its system.
Aligning the product database and configure, price, quote (CPQ) software with Currency’s transaction and financing capabilities, AQ Pay should allow customers to make payments easily from AQ quotes and invoices, simplifying the payments process, expediting transaction time, and helping dealers get paid more quickly. An upcoming phase will also include instant lease financing that is designed to accelerate and simplify financing in the industry.
This new payment technology is embedded directly onto AQ’s quotes and invoices, digitising the payment process, which was previously fragmented. The new functionality allows buyers to choose to instantly pay via credit, debit, or ACH bank transfer from anywhere, which could reduce the friction caused by traditional paper billing and invoicing.
AQ dealers can also use AQ Pay for online transactions in an e-commerce environment or in-store at point of sale, which should improve the quote-to-order process for dealers and their customers with one seamless platform.
Jim Contardi, CEO of AQ said: “AQ remains focused on building tools that reduce friction for AQ customers and the FES industry. We’ve partnered with Currency to create a tool that facilitates a simplified, modern payment process and provides an improved customer experience on both sides of the sale.”
While Currency president, Jered Takeuchi, commented: “Currency is thrilled to be partnering with AutoQuotes to improve transactions in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry exponentially.
“The exciting partnership is just in the early phases and is expected to add additional functionality to allow buyers to finance their purchases at the point-of-sale as well, which is Currency’s core service. The integration of Currency’s broad payments and financing solutions into AQ Pay is a game-changer for the FES industry.”
While Currency can accept international credit cards, it cannot accept bank transfer from outside of the US, so AQ Pay is not currently active on AutoQuotes’ UK platform.
