Autofry wants distributors to fill regional gaps

HH Developments, the sole UK distributor for Autofry, is looking to sign up new sub-distributors for the brand in the UK.

There is currently an Autofry distributor covering Scotland, Cumbria and the North East, but HH wants to add more partners in order to improve the brand’s geographic reach.

Talks have already begun with one candidate interested in the South West and another keen on Kent, Essex and possibly London, but Wendy Hewett, director of HH Developments, says the company doesn’t plan to stop there.

“I am looking for possibly another three to cover Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridge, North Wales, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Derbyshire,” she revealed.

The Autrofry MTI series is designed to provide an affordable, safe and user-friendly alternative to open deep fryers, and feature technology that offers push button ease, preset cook times, standby mode and heat/time compensation intelligence.

Hewett insists the main priority for HH Developments is finding sub-distributors that are really capable of taking the product line and running with it.

“I am looking for distributors that look at what the customer needs and search to fulfil it,” she said. “Companies don’t necessarily need a wide portfolio as sometimes innovation gets lost in a big pot – I am more interested in a distributor that can see the potential of selling good quality catering equipment.”
