HH Developments, the company responsible for the Autofry brand in the UK, has confirmed that the product range has been added to CaterQuotes.
The move means that Autofry’s deep frying technology will now be able to be quoted by dealers that use CaterQuotes’ pricing and quotation system.
Wendy Hewett, director of HH Developments, said that by joining CaterQuotes she hopes that Autofry will see its product awareness increase and gain coverage to a wider audience.
“I hadn’t considered [CaterQuotes] before, firstly because I didn’t know it existed but I was made aware of the UK version when I attended the NRA in Chicago this year,” explained Hewett. “I thought the cost would be too high, but that’s not been the case and CaterQuotes has worked really hard. I now see it as an investment.”
Hewett said that if its membership goes well, HH Developments will consider adding other products that it distributes to the online system, including the Hurricone Cordless floor dryer and VITO, along with any new products it adds to its portfolio.
Earlier this year HH Developments revealed plans to sign up regional sub-distributors for the Autofry brand in the UK. Hewett said that plan hadn’t yielded the results it had hoped but it still remains keen to expand its sales network.
“We had a lot of interest and I met with a lot of companies, but none of them actually came forward and signed up, probably due to the financial climate,” she said. “I think people are still very nervous to commit to other product lines without the guarantee that it will reap rewards immediately rather than looking at the long game.”
