Chan’s Cooker Ltd, a manufacturer of Asian cooking equipment, has had to call in an insolvency firm.
The Sheffield-based firm was established in December 2014 and specialised in manufacturing Chinese cookers and kitchen equipment.
It listed its range as including Asian kitchen equipment such as dim sum steamers, stockpot cookers and teppanyaki tables, while it also supplied other appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, freezers, grills, fryers, buffet bars, dishwashers, and microwaves.
Chan’s Cooker also supplied spare parts for Chinese cookers such as burners, gas valves, thermocouples and pilots.
Wigan-based Focus Insolvency Group was appointed as the firm’s liquidator following a creditor’s meeting at the end of last month.
At the meeting it was decided that the manufacturer should be wound up voluntarily.
Catering Insight contacted Chan’s Cooker director, Wie Leong Lum, who confirmed the company was in liquidation due to lack of sales.
