Apprentices make a big impact at Williams Refrigeration

British manufacturer Williams Refrigeration has touted the benefits of its apprentice programme and the individuals involved.

Williams Refrigeration specialises in commercial refrigeration including gastronorm cabinets and counters, specialist bakery equipment, coldrooms, merchandisers and blast chillers.

Its extensive apprenticeship programme has given seven current apprentices the chance to learn on the job at Williams’ headquarters.

These courses include ‘Refrigeration and Air Conditioning: Refrigeration Level 2’, ‘Safety, Health and Environment Technician Level 3’ and Level 4 courses in ‘Commercial Procurement and Supply’, ‘Improvement Practitioner’ and ‘Professional Accounting/Taxation Technician’.

Shaun Woodrow, group finance controller, says of the company’s dedication to apprenticeships: “It gives us qualified, motivated team members who can apply what they learn on the course alongside their day-to-day role in work.

“I’m a great supporter of helping our employees who want to show initiative and get on in life with some formal training and qualifications. It’s vital to continue to encourage the training and development of individuals within the business.”
