Leading charcoal oven manufacturer, Inka, has launched a new range of ovens, all manufactured in the UK. Since their launch almost a year ago, Inka charcoal ovens are already found in some of the leading restaurants and gastro pubs, even assisting top chef Aiden Byrne, to win the prestigious AA Restaurant of the Year award. The ovens allow chefs to recreate an authentic barbecue taste in the constraints of an indoor commercial kitchen.
As part of moving the manufacturing process from Spain to the UK, Inka has taken the opportunity to completely redesign the oven – both aesthetically and from a quality prospective. New features include a polished, mirror finish; a super thick and efficient steel shell and firebox along with a stainless steel dome spring handle that prevents heat transfer from the oven and allows users full control.
The door features specialist high temperature glass that can cope with temperatures in excess of 750°C, and allows chefs to keep an eye on the food as well as the coals. A full two-year manufacturers guarantee is also offered.
The move to UK manufacturing will help Inka to improve the efficiency of the supply chain and manufacturing process, thereby reducing the lead-time for customers from an average of 5-6 weeks to an impressive 2-3 weeks.

Having received fantastic feedback from chefs using INKA charcoal ovens in their day-to-day operation, we wanted to make this a truly British oven. We have worked extremely hard since the first UK prototype was produced just four months ago and are now pleased to announce, that after stringent testing, the new range is ready. We have even tested the ovens up to a temperature of 1000 degrees just to ensure all the components of the oven can withstand the toughest use – although we don’t recommend cooking at that temperatur.!”
Manufactured just a short distance from Inka’s head office in Manchester,
the new range of Inka charcoal ovens is available in three different sizes. The largest P900S model (£7,900) has a cooking capacity of 60kg per hour; the P600 (£6,250) has a cooking capacity of 45kg per hour whilst the smallest, the P300, is ideal for small satellite kitchens, mobile kitchens or even a domestic setting.
All prices are quoted ex VAT but inclusive of delivery and packaging. Each oven comes with grill shelves and an ember spade, while customers have the option to incorporate a specially designed stand with or without cupboards.
