Alistair Farquhar to step down from Ambach

Ambach UK's chief will be leaving the firm at the end of this month.

Ali Group cooking equipment brand Ambach has announced UK country manager Alistair Farquhar will depart the manufacturer at the end of this month.

Ambach MD Maurizio Vianello commented: “It is with much regret that I announce the decision of Alistair to leave Ambach UK. Alistair has worked with us for the last 4 years and has brought a great contribution to the business development and to the brand recognition in UK.

“Thanks to Alistair from all of us, for his co-operation with Ambach and we wish him all the best for his future career.”

Farquhar himself said: “I want to take this opportunity to thank Ambach, Maurizio and John Braithwaite [business and brand development director of Ali Group] for these 4 great years. I am leaving Ambach with an excellent portfolio of projects and clients in UK and I am sure that the brand will continue with its growth.”

With a view to continuing and further reinforcing the business development in the market, Braithwaite will become Ambach’s UK country manager on an interim basis, until a permanent plan is finalised.

Vianello added: “John has always been part of Ambach UK and has supported the brand among the main consultants and dealers over the last decade; thanks to John for his availability to assist the brand during this period for Ambach.”

The rest of the Ambach UK organisation will remain unchanged, with Mc Farlene Telfer arranging all service and project commissioning, and First Choice holding stocks of Ambach genuine parts and providing these parts to the UK.
