Ali Group CEO Filippo Berti was keen to emphasise the benefit of the massive catering equipment manufacturer group’s strategy at this year’s Host trade show in Milan.

On Saturday night, Ali Group held its traditional Host party in the halls of the Fieramilano, with hundreds of guests being treated to an evening with a theme of ‘a taste of Italy’. The party was decked out in Italian town-style, with lampposts, bicycles, stalls and scenic backdrops, and presented a wide range of Italian food for attendees to try.

Berti made a speech at the event during which he reaffirmed all of the group’s brands’ commitment to supplying equipment through the distributor channel only, and working with consultants along the way too.

He detailed that this edition of Host was the first one his father, Luciano, had not attended. Luciano founded the Ali Group in 1963, just 3 years before Host itself was established.

Berti took over from his father as CEO of the company in 2016. During his address he reported that the last 12 months have once again brought record-breaking revenue for the Ali Group.

Furthermore, he added congratulations to group brand, Falcon Foodservice Equipment, on its 200th anniversary, joking that he wondered what the Scottish company sold 200 years ago.

Ali Group comprises 76 brands worldwide, with 48 of them taking stand space at this year’s Host, which closes its doors at the end of the day tomorrow.
