The Airedale Group has appointed Paul Woodford as MD of Airedale Catering Equipment, its specialist design and build brand.
Woodford joined the board of Airedale in 2010, in the role of business development director, before becoming sales and marketing director at the beginning of last year.
The distributor feels he has been instrumental in guiding the business through another period of significant growth to become one of the UK’s leading design and build brands.
“The last 6 years have been transformational for the business and for many of the people we employ,” said Woodford.
“We have moved from a regional player into a truly national operation, now employing over 250 people, working across 10 different brands from seven different offices. It is great to see that the investments made by the business have given our team members the opportunity to progress their career and many, like me, are now taking their next step up.”
Having been in the industry for over 26 years, Woodford has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry, having undertaken roles as a designer, contracts director and MD within previous businesses, including Cabbola Foodservice Equipment.
He added: “The fantastic success of the team and the clients’ recognition of the great service we offer makes this role an exciting opportunity to continue the growth and success story of Airedale.”

Woodford’s promotion comes at a dynamic time for the group, as it is accelerating its investment strategy to focus on growth around its three core propositions: specialist design and build, manufacturing and service and maintenance.
