Administrators continue work at dealer DCE


Administrators were today continuing their work at the Stockport offices of Design Catering Equipment as they strive to sort out the company’s future.

DCE’s case is being handled by business restructuring firm BDO, which has branches throughout the UK.

BDO today confirmed its involvement, stating: “Patrick Lannagan and Kerry Bailey have been appointed as joint administrators of Design Catering Equipment Ltd, as of 19th March 2014.”

Both are based at the company’s Manchester office.

The administrators have been asked for further comment on the situation, but no further details had been released at the time of publication.

Design Catering Equipment has delivered more than 5,000 catering projects since its formation back in 1990.

It is understood to have employed around 25 people at the time of entering administration.

Contracts director Robin Williamson and sales director Stephen Hewitt bought the business back in 2011 from its previous owners. Both are long-serving employees of the company.
