Adande Refrigeration is offering a handful of further education providers the chance to snap up its patented refrigerated drawers at a heavily discounted price.
The company last week sponsored the cooking, confectionery and pastry competitions at the Skills Show in Birmingham, where 14 of its Adande VCS2/CW two drawer refrigeration units were used by participants.
These units can now be bought by FE providers at 35% off list price, and colleges or schools may also be able to get 50% off the balance funded by a government grant.
Adande chairman, Nigel Bell, said it expects the promotion to be popular after the success of a similar offer last year.
“Adande units were used by 31 cooking competitors at WorldSkills 2011 and most of these were later snapped up by colleges – Canterbury bought four two-drawer Adande units for a total of £5320. Normal list price for the four would have been £16,360 – some bargain!” he said.
Adande says its refrigerated drawers provide complete flexibility in handling refrigerated food and better temperature stability to help serve better food.
