Adande insists the recent award of an accolade endorsing its approach to sustainability is a feather in its cap when it comes to distinguishing the green credentials of its products in the market.
The Lowestoft manufacturer’s two-drawer refrigeration unit with hydrocarbon gas recently beat off competition from the likes of Gram and Rational to land the ‘Best Sustainable Equipment Manufacturer’ gong at an industry ceremony honouring sustainability and environmental excellence.
Nigel Bell, chairman of Adande, insists the award supports its claim that it currently makes the most sustainable commercial refrigeration products in the market.
“The Adande technology is fundamentally different from conventional refrigeration technologies and it was very rewarding to see that the judges recognised its sustainability,” he said. “We consider this award to be another validation of the real sustainability of our products amongst all the ‘noise’ about sustainability in the market.”
Bell said sales of Adande units had grown more than four-fold over the last three years, adding that its green credentials were increasingly being recognised by the dealer community.
Adande’s new Compact refrigeration unit, meanwhile, was voted runner-up in the ‘Energy Efficiency’ category, behind 3663.
An award for ‘Best Sustainable Foodservice Installation’ was also given out the event. It was won by Cheltenham-based PKL, with Space Catering Equipment finishing a close second.
