UK refrigeration manufacturer Adande will have a dedicated executive running its business in export markets from March 1st, the company has confirmed.
Paul Harper, a 30-year veteran of the foodservice sector, will join the firm with a view to ramping up its activities in the international market.
His most recent position was with the Middleby Corporation, where he helped grow the company’s business in the Australasia and Pan Pacific.
He also sat on the boards of Beech Ovens and Auto Bake, Australian-based companies acquired by Middleby.
Harper will support distributors and licensees within the ‘Adande Global Alliance’, with an initial focus on the Middle East and Asian markets. Adande has recently opened up a distribution channel in India.
As well as developing new territories not yet covered by Adande, Harper is tasked with supporting the introduction of the company’s technology to “internationally active” kitchen designers and multinational operators in the hospitality sector.
Nigel Bell, executive chairman of Adande, said Harper brings considerable expertise in developing and introducing new technologies into the foodservice market, pointing to his work with Turbochef and CookTek as examples.
“We are delighted that Paul will be helping us to introduce Adande’s unique technology to these high growth markets,” said Bell.
Adande has production facilities in the UK and India and its products are produced under licence in the US. Overall sales have grown tenfold in the last four years.
