ABDA’s business development manager Stephen Ryan is hoping to complete four rounds of golf spanning approximately 30 miles, just after the longest day of the year.

Ryan is raising money for the event in support of his father, who is currently battling prostate cancer, and the MacMillan cancer trust.

The 72-hole event, which was organised to take place on or around the longest day of the year, is set to take place this Friday.

With just under two days until tee off the golfers, Stephen Ryan, Callum Morley, Scott Fouracre, Nathan Long have raised £560, 56% of their £1,000 goal.

On the event’s JustGiving page, Ryan explains: “Macmillan Cancer Support provide support for anybody with or anybody that is affected by cancer.

“You probably already know what they do as it is now as little as 1 in 2 people that will get cancer. However, they provide not only medical but also practical and even financial support to anybody affected,” he continues.
