There is less than a week to go before the window closes on a tender submission invitation for a £300,000 Cheshire schools catering equipment services contract.
Cheshire East Borough Council has set April 8 as the cut-off date for parties interested in submitting a bid for the three-year contract.
The organisation is looking to appoint a supplier that can respond to service calls and repair gas and electrical kitchen equipment, as well as manage the annual testing of heavy gas and electrical cooking equipment.
The contract also demands annual portable appliance testing, and a call-out and repair service for fridges and freezers.
The fridge and freezer work is covered by its own Lot, but the rest of the work is divided into three segments by geographical location: Crewe and Nantwich; Congleton; and Macclesfield.
In total, 118 schools are covered by the deal.
Cheshire East Borough Council said that all expression of interest or documentation requests need to be carried out via its electronic contract and ender management system .
It estimates the value of the contract at between £310,000 and £360,000, excluding VAT, for the full term including optional extensions.
The contract will be for an initial three-year period, with two optional extension periods of a further 12 months.
