Welbilt will be exhibiting at Hotelympia 2018 (stand 1540), marking the company’s first appearance at the show as Welbilt, following its rebranding from Manitowoc Foodservice last year.
On 5-8 March at London’s ExCel, the Welbilt stand will feature the latest equipment from the manufacturer’s stable of brands.
Visitors to the show can expect to see live-cooking demonstrations, the UK launch of the Garland Instinct Induction series, and a new equipment launch from combi steamer brand, Convotherm alongside the latest innovations from Merrychef.
The new Garland Induction Instinct series makes its UK debut at this year’s Hotelympia where visitors to the stand will be able to see the latest innovations and technical advancements in the induction market, along with tutorials from the firm’s on-stand representatives. The new Instinct series features five table-top models available in varying sizes, consisting of single and double hob modules, along with a wok and two griddles.
The range also features what is claimed to be the first comprehensive control and monitoring system for induction, Instinct’s RTCSmp (Real-Time Temperature Control System multi-point) technology, which visitors will be able to experience first-hand. This is designed to provide fast heat up times, safe cooking and accurate temperatures by utilising the electronics within the modules to monitor the temperature of the induction coils and energy supply.
Designed for simple and intuitive operation, the Instinct series also features a new ‘Tip and Turn’ control system. These controls respond to light pressure on the control knob to activate the appliance, whilst the ‘turn’ function sets the desired temperature level.
The range is said to cook without generating excess heat in the working environment due to the direct heat transfer from the surface to the pan, which can also reduce energy consumption costs. The fan fitted within the models should be virtually silent whilst still achieving cooling capacity to minimise heat and noise in the kitchen.
