Welbilt showcases its innovations at Commercial Kitchen

Welbilt’s Garland Induction Instinct cookers will be on stand at Commercial Kitchen.

Professional kitchen equipment manufacturer Welbilt will be showcasing its latest innovations at the Commercial Kitchen Show 2018.

On stand G13 at the Birmingham NEC on 5-6 June, visitors can gain insight into the firm’s cooking equipment including Convotherm, Garland and Merrychef brands, as well as live-cooking from the Welbilt culinary team.

The manufacturer feels that a highlight will be the new generation of Convotherm Mini combi steamers which should facilitate compact versatile cooking. The new models are designed to provide establishments of all sizes, from cafes and bakeries to restaurants and cost sector catering set-ups, with a flexible cooking solution – all from a unit with a width of 51.5cm, which should enable it to fit into any kitchen space or even on a countertop front of house.

The Mini boasts two newly-designed user interfaces: easyTouch and Standard – both surrounded by a new black control panel and a metallic body. The design also showcases a larger observation window, which is aimed at making it easier for operators to check on the food cooking within the unit without having to open the oven door.

Featuring for the first time at the show will be the new Garland Induction Instinct series of induction cooking appliances. The Instinct series features what is said to be a comprehensive control and monitoring system for induction – the RTCSmp (Real-Time Temperature Control System multi-point) technology. This should enable fast heat up times, safe cooking and accurate temperatures by utilising the electronics within the modules to monitor the temperature of the induction coils and energy supply.

The induction series also features a new ‘Tip and Turn’ control system for what are claimed to be easy temperature settings. The range cooks without generating excess heat in the working environment due to the direct heat transfer from the surface to the pan.

Other on-stand highlights will be live-cooking demonstrations using the Merrychef eikon e2s high-speed oven as well as the opportunity to see the range of Convotherm 4 combi steamer units available.
