Welbilt has hired Alexis Bourgault to its global marine hospitality team as sales and specification manager.
His appointment comes following the continued expansion of the cruise line segment within the business and highlights the importance of this market to the cooking equipment manufacturer.
Bourgault joins the firm from the Almaco Group, one of Welbilt’s channel partners in the marine and cruise line market. Following five years at the company in tendering and purchasing management and most recently as sales manager, Welbilt feels Bourgault’s expertise within the industry will transition into his new role.
Fluent in French, English and Spanish as well as holding a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours) in International Business, he will be reporting directly to Dave Weightman, key account manager cruise line, hospitality and marine.
In his role, Bourgault will work in conjunction with Welbilt’s field marketing managers to continue to drive sales of the marine Convotherm, Merrychef, Garland Induction, Manitowoc Ice and Multiplex brands by generating new and strengthening existing customer relationships. He will be supported by culinary team leaders, Andy Daniels in EMEA and Rich Mathis in the Americas, as well as customer service teams in Germany and Switzerland.
Graham Veal, vice president marketing EMEA commented: “We’re thrilled to have Alexis join our marine hospitality team as sales and specification manager. The marine and hospitality segment of our business continues to go from strength to strength so it is hugely important that we expand our team and add new skills to reflect the growth of the sector within Welbilt.
“Alexis brings to the team outstanding expertise, knowledge and experience of galley design and build in cruise and river cruise and will work closely with Dave Weightman to expand our share in this globally significant market.”
