Vito UK, the sole importer of the Vito oil filtration system, has shifted its operation to Norfolk as part of a move that will see all of the company’s core functions centralised.
The business is run by MD Rob Frank, sales director Iain Addison — who also owns Ideal Catering —and sales manager Kim Devlin.
By moving the office to East Anglia, Addison and Devlin believe they will be able to manage the business more efficiently with regards to sales, service, stock, promotion and marketing.
Vito UK was set up three years ago as the exclusive partner for the German-manufactured product, which is now sold into almost 100 countries.
The idea behind oil filtration is to double the life of cooking oil and to allow kitchens to fry in better quality oil for longer, which in turn results in a healthier, better looking product for customers.
“This is the most innovative product to hit the catering market in years,” declares Addison. “It is a pleasure to hear customer say how quickly they see the savings in oil costs and equally improve the product quality to the table.”
The firm hopes the relocation of its operations will give it renewed impetus and help it build on a customer list that already includes Marriott & Ramada hotels, Centre Parcs, Abode Hotels, Yo Sushi, Sodexho, Ikea, Aramark and TLC Inns.
Addison says that over the next 12 months the company will be stepping up its marketing activities and exhibiting at key trade shows in order to expand its existing network of catering equipment distributors.
“We are always looking to take on more specialiast dealers, especially in London where the market is huge and we feel we have only scratched the surface,” he said.
