Unitech Industries’ group finance director, Mark Street, and group MD Nick Imlah, have appointed two additional directors to Francis Commercial Kitchen Services Limited to expand and grow the business.
With effect from 1 February, Neil Humphries joined the board as sales director with the challenge of growing the Burntwood-based distributor’s sales, while Paul Haeger became service and installation director to assist in growing the preventive maintenance and reactive service, and take control of the installation work.
Humphries worked within Francis Catering Equipment since 1990, becoming MD of the then-Kingswinford-based firm in 2007. He continued within the new entity of Francis Commercial Kitchen Services when Unitech stepped in to buy the business, assets and intellectual property rights of Francis Catering Equipment along with its associate company, Stockport-headquartered Design Catering Equipment, after the distributor went into administration on 4 September 2017.
Haeger has moved across from another Unitech-owned distributor, ScoMac, where he has bolstered the firm’s technical and engineering expertise since March 2017. Prior to that, he was head of technical at Airedale Catering Equipment for 3 years.
Since the buyout, the Unitech Group reported it has started to re-establish the Francis brand, which has been a presence in the Midlands within the restaurant and pub trade for 46 years. Unitech feels it has been a successful acquisition. In December it relocated the firm from Kingswinford in the West Midlands, to its head office in Burntwood, Staffordshire.
