True set to unveil new merchandisers

True Refrigeration will be launching chilled visual and display merchandisers at the Restaurant Show.

Commercial refrigeration manufacturer True is set to launch its new range of chilled visual and display merchandisers into the UK and European markets after debuting them at the Restaurant Show 2017.

The American firm is set to showcase the new products for the first time on stand GF10 at the forthcoming catering industry expo, which takes place at London Olympia on 2-4 October.

True’s new TVM visual merchandiser unit is aimed at retail and display applications. The slimline cabinet is claimed to offer operational savings when compared to similar-sized open multideck and air curtain merchandising units.

It comes with low-profile ‘thin bezel’ swing doors and no centre mullion for maximum product visibility and should deliver consistent low holding temperatures of between 0.5°C and 3.3°C. Cantilever shelves are designed to hold more weight and better display contents.

Meanwhile, the new TDM range of display merchandisers will be available in four sizes and three cabinet types, so can be configured to suit the space and menu.

Suitable for deli, pastry and dessert applications, they are said to offer energy savings compared with other deli display items on the market.

They will be available in a range of internal, external and end finishes, along with flexible shelving options and accessories.

The refrigerated units should provide consistent holding temperatures of between 0.5°C and 5°C to keep produce fresher for longer, while dry case units offer ambient temperatures for produce which doesn’t require cooling. Combination units are also available to showcase both dry stock and chilled.

True Refrigeration’s Chris Cope said: “The Restaurant Show is the hottest event of the year for catering professionals in the UK, and we are delighted to be launching our new range of visual and display merchandisers at the expo.

“The way food businesses showcase their produce can make a huge impact on their customers and these new units are all built to give them the confidence that their displays will make a great first impression.”
