Huddersfield-based distributor Triline Contracts has designed and installed a production kitchen for Eat Smart Foods in Bradford.
The food company has developed healthy ready meals aimed at children and it is currently supplying Asda. The business is hoping to expand into other supermarket chains and the NHS.
The firm tasked Triline with a full turnkey project worth around £80,000. Triline’s MD, Michael Walsh, commented: “We had to design, manufacture and install a full food production unit from scratch, converting an old electrical goods warehouse into a state of the art facility.”
The scope of works included constructing the internal walls and ceiling, first and second fix electrical installation, connecting all plumbing and drainage from source, fitting PVC hygienic wall cladding and Altro flooring and a full extraction system. Triline also specified and installed a dishwasher, all refrigeration – including a blast chiller – and all cooking equipment including energy saving induction units.
All bespoke stainless steel items such as sinks and wall benches were manufactured at Triline headquarters.
