Grande Cuisine — the cooking equipment supplier set up by former Signature FSE director Steve Hobbs last year — welcomed one of the most famous faces from the UK culinary scene to its Hotelympia stand today.
Tom Kerridge, 2 star Michelin Chef of The Hand And Flowers in Marlow, joined the company on its booth to share his unique perspective on the kitchen environment.
Kerridge took over The Hand and Flowers in Marlow in 2005 with his wife Beth, achieving One Star Michelin status in 2006 and raising that to two stars in 2012.
It is the first time that a pub has ever won a Michelin star and led to Kerridge fronting his own his own TV series ‘Proper Pub Food’ last year and publishing his first book of the same name.
Hobbs said he was delighted to have Kerridge team up with Grande Cuisine at what marks its Hotelympia debut.
“We are really excited to have had Tom Kerridge on the stand, he has been a tremendous supporter of ours,” said Hobbs. “We are also showcasing our range of products to the wider industry and have some fabulous products on show, several of which are either new items or additions to existing product lines.”
Grande Cuisine manages three major cooking equipment lines, all from France: Adventys, Athanor and Capic.
