Target Catering Equipment is creating its own advanced engineering apprenticeship in partnership with local training provider, Gloucestershire Engineer Training (GET).
The firm specialises in commercial kitchen design and stainless steel fabrication for the catering industry, including bespoke cooking suites.
Chris Evans, an apprentice at Target, has already helped GET to create a new specialist fabrication and welding department.
Target’s MD David Pedrette told southwestbusiness.co.uk: “This employment engagement will help GET select the right new equipment for their fabrication and welding facilities as they expand their training offer to Gloucestershire engineering and manufacturing businesses.
“It is vital to our economy and must be encouraged.”
