Target issues wake-up call for wok cooking

Target Catering Equipment has tied up with Gloucestershire College’s resident chef Shaun Naen to take wok cooking to a new level.

The world renowned wok chef helped Target develop a wok pan induction cooking system for the Ruan Thai restaurant in Weymouth, Dorset.

The project was supported by the Business West Ltd administered European funded IYRE (Improve Your Resource Efficiency) scheme.

Targets induction woks come in powerful 3kW and 5KW options delivering power directly to the wok with little waste heat.

According to the company, the major advantage versus the traditional gas-fired wok cooking methods used in Chinese and oriental-style wok cooking kitchens is that it creates a calm cool and hygienic environment.
